Help our hospitals and NHS staff

We are the registered charity dedicated to supporting the Lister, New QEII, Hertford County Hospital and the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre.

Due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic we are facing an unprecedented demand for NHS services and we are working incredibly hard to ensure that we continue to provide extraordinary care for our patients whilst also looking after our staff.

With the new lockdown restrictions announced in January 2021, we are continuing to follow government guidance and are asking our local community and supporters to stay at home, stay safe and protect our NHS.

Many have asked how they can help our NHS Trust again so we are letting you know that the best and safest way to support us is by making a donation to our #HereForEachOther appeal which will help us fund comfort items and refurbishments to boost morale and support the physical and emotional wellbeing of staff throughout this difficult time, as they continue to work hard to serve our communities.

The donations received could also go towards extra medical equipment, support services, cutting-edge research projects and refurbishments to our hospitals above and beyond remit of NHS to enhance patient experience in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

"To each and every one that works at Lister, from porters, cleaners, helpers, nurses, doctors, physios, consultants and every volunteer, my family and I want to say thank you"

If you would like to express your gratitude to the NHS and our hardworking staff, you can do so by leaving a message of support and making a donation to our charity by clicking here or on the pink 'donate' button at the top of this page.

Alternatively you can set up a fundraiser for us by clicking here. Please download our lockdown fundraising pack for some ideas and inspiration on what you can do to challenge yourself at home to raise funds for our staff and patients.

"I ask everyone that needs treatment at Lister or any hospital over the next few weeks and months, please remember that these amazing people will be working in extreme conditions, most I’m sure will be working to the point of exhaustion"

Please also share any messages of support on our Twitter and Facebook pages using #HereForEachOther

Thanks to your incredible support last year for our #HereForEachOther appeal, we were able to fund a range of invaluable projects which have made a huge difference to our staff, patients and visitors. Click here to see what has been achieved with your funds.

*Please note that unfortunately we cannot accept donated items and gifts from supporters. We are following government guidance and discouraging anyone from visiting our hospital sites for non urgent care so please stay at home, stay safe and protect the NHS.
