Get the family involved and walk the length of a marathon over the summer holidays to raise funds for our Big Build Appeal for Lister’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

In partnership with worldwalking.org we have created a special challenge for families to tackle over the six-week summer holidays, walking 60,000 steps or 26.2 miles, the length of a marathon, in support of our final push for the Big Build Appeal.

The Big Build Appeal is raising funds to extend the current family facilities on the NICU, which cares for more than 900 poorly and premature babies every year. The improvements will provide cooking facilities for parents to get a hot meal, space for relaxation and a garden for siblings to play. There will also be a new bathroom for birthing partners from across Maternity to use.

This fun challenge can be done collectively throughout the six-week holidays and beyond, you simply need to log each day’s activities into your free profile on worldwalking.org. Please note, under-18s cannot register themselves, so a parent or a guardian will need to create an account.

To register please complete the form below and create a free profile on worldwalking.org. Click here to view the route.
