With your help we want to raise awareness and funds for men’s health projects to support patients at the Lister, New QEII, Hertford County Hospital and the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre.

Our Men's Health Fundraising Committee, which formed last year, is made up of local patients and healthcare professionals from the urology team at the Lister.

They have come together to support our charity's quest to raise funds for specialist medical kit and equipment, support services, extra staff training and research so we can make a difference to treatment, care and experience for men in our community.

There's plenty of activities to get involved with during Men's Health Week – see below. Alternatively, why not hold your own event to raise funds and awareness?

Online Auction – Launching on Monday 2 November and finishing on Sunday 8, we are holding an online auction through Givergy to raise funds for our Men's Health Appeal: www.givergy.uk/enhhcharity

Barbers in the Plaza – On Friday 6 November staff from across the East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust will be braving the shave for our appeal. With a pop up barber shop, men's hair care freebies and free information on men's health, we are looking forward to a day of fundraising.

Awareness – For the duration of the week there will be information stands at the Lister for patients to get free guidance, with the chance to speak to clinicians. We will also be using our social media platforms to promote men's health services and a chance to meet the clinical teams.

Fundraising – We would like to encourage our supporters to take part in fundraising during the week, whether that be on your own, at work, with friends or teammates. Why not try a sponsored walk, run or cycle?
