To apply for charitable funding at the Lister, MVCC, QEII and Hertford County Hospital

To apply for charitable funding for your department please complete the online application form. We will support as many projects as we are able to, as long as they meet the Charitable Spend Criteria.

Please remember all the projects we fund must be above and beyond the obligation of the NHS

Useful information

In order to give us the best possible chance of securing funds/donations please give us as much notice as possible. We are unlikely to be able to respond to last minute requests.

Please consider the following and remember that the Charity’s mission is to go above and beyond what the NHS can fund.

Do you have approval from your divisional director?

Will the project benefit the public, patients or our staff?

Is the project in line with the Trust's priorities?

If you are requesting funding for training, is it training which is not ordinarily funded through the trust?

Is the cost proportionate to the number of people benefiting?

Have you considered ongoing maintenance costs?

Have you considered infection control, security and health and safety?

If the answer to the above is yes then please proceed

What is the process?

• Check your eligibility and your department’s priorities with your Divisional Director
• Please select and complete one of the application forms below
• Your application will be reviewed by the Charity Director and submitted to the Charity Management Team for approval if it meets criteria. You can check the dates for these meetings below, use these time lines to to gage how long before you can expect your project to go live/ equipment to be ordered.
• If your application has been accepted and your project is approved for funding you will be notified in writing by the Charity Director.
• Please do not accept your application as successful and spend any funds until you have been notified by a member of the charity team.

When will I find out?

Bids under £500 will be assessed as soon as possible. Other bids will got to one of, or both of the below meetings
