The Charity were delighted to award Denise and Ian Clinch from Hitchin with a cheque for £1000 for winning their first ever Christmas Grand Draw. The £1000 prize was kindly donated by Tracy from Putterills Estate Agents and the appeal raised over £2000 for the charity.

Denise Clinch said "We were absolutely over the moon to receive a phone call just before Christmas day to say that we had won the draw, we thought it was a prank call at first! Our good friend and neighbour Pat came round and sold us the tickets as she is a long standing volunteer for the NHS Trust and the hospital’s Butterfly Service that supports end of life patients. We are delighted that the funds raised from the draw will be supporting the East and North Hertfordshire Hospitals Charity who fund invaluable projects at our local hospital. My husband Ian has received fantastic treatment from the cardiology and critical care team at Lister and our family have so much to be grateful to the NHS for, so I am glad we have been able to give back to our local hospital".
