Knebworth resident and cancer survivor Graham Hoare is collaborating with the East and North Hertfordshire Hospitals’ Charity to launch the Men’s Health Fundraising Committee (MHFC) with the aim of raising £500,000 by summer 2020.

To achieve their target, the Committee hopes to attract 1,000 fundraisers who pledge to raise £500 or more through donations or fundraising activities via their 1,000 for £500 campaign. The money raised will be used to ensure state-of-the-art treatments are available for males throughout Hertfordshire.

Speaking about the 1,000 for £500 campaign, Graham said:

“I am honoured to be collaborating with the Hospital Charity to fundraise for men’s health projects across Hertfordshire. I was treated at the Lister for prostate cancer in 2016 and I was so grateful for the treatment I received. The MHFC has been set up not only to raise funds for vital men’s health projects in our local community, but to also raise awareness and enhance local support networks, encouraging more openness on the subject of men’s health.”
