Pop-up ‘Redirooms’ are ready for action at Lister Hospital.

Thanks to charity funding, Lister Hospital now has four ‘Redirooms’ – or instant isolation units – that can be installed in five minutes to create individual rooms for patients needing isolation.

The temporary rooms have their own air-filtration system, hands-free entry and are specially designed to isolate patients that are under contact or droplet infection precautions.

Each Rediroom is contained within a cart and can be wheeled to a patient wherever they are in the hospital and can be easily and quickly assembled by one person.

The Redirooms will help the hospital quickly contain outbreaks of infectious diseases such as the winter vomiting bug, Norovirus, and Covid-19.
