This Christmas sees the launch of the East and North Hertfordshire Hospitals' Charity's special Tree of Light event.

Name a light on our Christmas Tree at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage to remember a loved one, to say thank you for care received by our trust or to celebrate something special to you.

Whatever the reason, everyone is welcome to make a dedication.

The Christmas Tree lights will be officially switched on at a special ceremony on Monday 30 November at 6pm – to be broadcast live on our Facebook page – and your light will shine brightly for all to see until the new year. The names of everyone who has a light dedicated to them will be read out during the event and also displayed in the window of the main entrance to Lister.

When making your dedication, we will also invite you to make a donation to the East and North Hertfordshire Hospitals' Charity.

Your Tree of Light dedication and donation will help us to continue providing extraordinary care for patients at our hospitals, as well as enhancing visitor experience and supporting our amazing NHS staff.

  • £15 could fund one visit from a Butterfly volunteer to an end-of-life patient.
  • £30 could fund a complementary therapy session to ease the symptoms of a cancer patient.
  • £50 could fund Christmas gifts for patients in critical care.
  • £100 could fund a new rocking chair for mothers to feed their babies comfortably.
