The mountain is a great metaphor for a journey. Flat, effortless terrain unmarred by rock and gravel and dirt does not produce strength. It's a gruelling climb on a mountain that shows us what we're made of. My cancer journey has certainly done that!

Just hearing the doctor say the word "cancer" had a profound effect on me and my family. My diagnosis of cancer began a long journey that affected my physical health, mental well-being and relationships with loved ones. While getting treatment for the physical aspects of the cancer, the help and support of both the Lister Macmillan Cancer Centre & The Breast Care Unit at the QEII did not neglect the emotional issues associated with my journey . They were wonderful and I would like to repay their kindness by raising money to help them and others using The Centre in the future.
To this end, I will be fundraising fully for the next couple of years for them. I will be preparing for a final expedition of my own... details to follow. 😉

Please give all that you can for this fantastic cause. Funds raised will be split equally between Lister Macmillan Cancer Centre and The Breast Care Unit at the QEII.
