THANK YOU

We have been overwhelmed with the incredible support we have received from individuals, companies, organisations and charities over the past year to help our NHS Trust during the Covid-19 pandemic.

From donations of funds to Ipads, PPE, groceries and volunteer time- we are hugely grateful for the generous gifts that have been given to our Hospital Charity to support staff, patients and visitors across our four hospitals.

HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL HOSPITAL

Following the new lockdown restrictions announced by the government in January 2021, we are continuing to follow government guidance and are discouraging anyone from visiting our hospitals for non-urgent appointments which includes coming onto site to donate goods or items.

We are encouraging donating or fundraising towards our official #HereForEachOther appeal so we can fund equipment, items or resources needed to support our NHS staff and patients in response to the pandemic. This is the safest way to give and support our NHS staff and patients whilst staying at home.

If you would like to set up a fundraising event or activity to support us please click here, and you can also download our lockdown fundraising pack for some inspiration on how you can fundraise safely at home.

HOW YOUR DONATIONS WILL HELP

This is what we would like to put your donations towards to support our staff and patients:

  • Comfort items to support staff emotional and physical wellbeing during and after Covid-19 including breakfast and lunch boxes and complimentary hot drinks supplied by our catering team
  • Refurbishment (painting and decorating), furniture/seating, ambience items to improve additional staff rooms and areas across the Trust
  • Extra medical equipment, items and services to enhance patient comfort and experience whilst adapting and responding to the Covid-19 pandemic

CHARITY CLOTHING

We are very excited to launch a new charity branded mask which you can purchase and wear in support of our Hospital Charity. The mask was designed by Kate Flavin, Critical Care Consultant and is available to buy for £6 or you can get 2 for £10! Click here to buy your own.

We also have a wonderful charity clothing range which is available to purchase via our online shop! The design was inspired by the lovely pictures sent in by Felicity (aged 6) and Sophie (aged 9) and created by illustrator Joe Oliver.

We will receive 33% of the proceeds which will go towards our #HereForEachOther Appeal to support staff and patients.

If you would like to buy your own t-shirt, running vest or hoodie to support your local hospital please click here to be directed to our clothing site.

GROCERIES AND MEALS

Unfortunately we are unable to accept any kind offers of groceries, meals or non-perishable food and drink delivered to our site so we can adhere to government guidelines. We are working with our Trust Catering team who will provide snack boxes and refreshments so please donate if you would like to give our staff members a much needed morale boost.

PPE

Please note that we are not encouraging donating or fundraising towards PPE as we have enough supply and our Trust team purchase through approved suppliers.

HAND MADE SCRUBS

If you would like to make scrubs for our staff at Lister Hospital, please follow these instructions.
