How to give a major gift

If you'd like to give a major gift, please get in touch. Email [email protected] or phone 01438 285182.

We’ll work with you so your donation has a unique impact. We’re experienced in supporting individual philanthropists, charitable trusts and foundations.

You can give a one-off gift, pledges that help us plan for the future support for our appeals, or fund work through mechanisms such as share giving.

How your money could help

  • £10,000 could fund vital equipment
So our staff can give state of the art care and support in a comfortable and relaxed environment.

  • £5,000 could provide 200 hours of our Butterfly Volunteer Service
So they can give reassurance and comfort at the end of life. Supporting families at the most difficult of times.

  • £1,000 could fund our telephone cancer support helpline
So people can get guidance and emotional support when they need it most at our Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre or our Lister Macmillan Centre.

“"The remote support provided by the Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre over the past six months has been incredible. I don't think I would have coped during lockdown without it.

Karen phoned me every week for guided relaxation which really helped to keep my anxiety under control. She taught me simple breathing and meditation techniques which can be used in everyday life to regain a sense of calm. They work particularly well in those stressful situations that we all find ourselves in from time to time. I often use the breathing techniques to switch off a busy, worrying mind at night which helps me to sleep better. I even managed to actively lower my blood pressure during a chemo session!

Shielding during lockdown was a very lonely time so having a friendly person from the Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre phone every week gave me a much needed morale boost. I am most grateful for their kindness and support".

These words highlight the benefit that our patients are getting from our therapists, even though they are physically apart there is a connection and we can make a difference to people who may feel isolated and coping alone.

Get in touch about making a major gift, it will make a difference!

When you give a major gift you can expect:

  • To receive bespoke support, contact and communications
  • Regular updates on the impact of your gift
  • Opportunities to attend our exclusive events and meet our amazing staff

In memory of our Mother Indira Devi Akam

We lost our mom to Covid in September. We wanted to support a charity in her memory so we looked at causes that care for the terminally ill so we can help ease the pain of families in a similar situation as ours. The 'Lister Butterfly Volunteer Service' stood out.
