Buy a leaf on the Critical Care Unit Giving Tree

Donate

Donate to Lister's Critical Care Unit and get a personalised leaf on our Giving Tree

Make a donation to say thank you to your Critical Care Unit and we will give you a personalised keepsake leaf to display on our Giving Tree which is displayed in the relatives' room on the unit.

You can choose the colour and special message to be engraved on your leaf whether it's a thank you to a staff member on the unit or a dedication to a loved one. You can also pick the colour too - copper, silver or gold.

After the year your leaf can be sent to you for you to keep in a memory box or to display proudly at home or you can make a donation to keep it up on the tree at the unit for families, staff and patients to see.

Our Giving Tree is not only a way of making a special dedication to a loved one or staff member you are grateful for but your donation will also be helping to make improvements and enhancements on the unit so we can continue to go above and beyond for our patients and families.

Your donation could help us to fund

• The creation and maintenance of a rooftop terrace in the Critical Care Unit so patients can benefit from 'Sunshine Therapy'

• Comfy chairs, TVs, murals and homely touches to our relatives' room and waiting areas

• Patient comfort packs and gifts for patients being treated over Christmas

• Sky art panels for the ceilings, which give the illusion of seeing the sky and other tranquil images when patients are lying in bed

• Specialist training courses for staff so they can bring the latest knowledge to Lister to further enhance patient care

The difference your leaf will make - a message from Katie Goodyer, Matron of Critical Care Unit

"Thank you for helping us go above and beyond in the care we give to patients on the critical care unit and their families. Your Giving Tree donation will help us give the best care to our most poorly patients. Thank you so much.”

How to make a donation and get a personalised leaf on our Giving Tree

1. Make a one off donation or choose to sign up to make a small regular donation per month (minimum of 12 months) by clicking the DONATE button at the top of this page

*You are welcome to give any amount you choose but we suggest a minimum donation of £36 or £3 per month to help us cover the cost of the leaf and ensure as many profits as possible go towards supporting our Critical Care Unit*

2. When making the donation write your chosen message and select your leaf colour - copper, silver or gold in the comment box. Please note the leaves are limited to 130 characters over 4 lines including spaces and punctuation.

3. Come and see it! We will let you know when your leaf has been placed on the tree and you are welcome to come to the Relatives' room to see it. Or if you would prefer, we can send you a photo.

4. Renew or keep? If you dedicate a leaf for one year, we will, as the end of the 12 months approaches, write and ask if you would like to keep the leaf on the tree for another year (for a further donation), or whether you would like the leaf removed from the tree and sent to you, for you to display at home

Terms and Conditions:

1. On receipt of your order form your request will be granted subject to approval of the inscription, availability of leaves and remaining space being available on the Giving Tree.

2. East and North Hertfordshire Hospitals’ Charity retains complete control over the location and dates of installation of all leaves on the Giving Tree.

3. In exceptional circumstances East and North Hertfordshire Hospitals’ Charity reserves the right to relocate the Giving Tree.

4. The minimum period for a direct debit is 12 months.

5. All leaves on the tree are the property of East and North Hertfordshire Hospitals’ Charity until they are returned to you.

6. East and North Hertfordshire Hospitals’ Charity will choose a suitable branch for your leaf.

7. Leaves will be removed once the donation period ends.
