Make a donation for a leaf on the Diamond Jubilee Giving Tree Donate Donate to our maternity unit and get a personalised leaf on our Diamond Jubilee Giving Tree Make a donation to say thank you to your midwifery team and we will give you a personalised ornate keepsake leaf to display on our Giving Tree which is displayed in the main reception of the maternity unit. You can choose the colour and special message to be engraved on your leaf whether it's a thank you to a staff member on the maternity unit or a dedication to your baby. You can also pick the colour too - copper, silver or gold! After the year your leaf can be sent to you for you to keep in a memory box or to display proudly at home or you can make a donation to keep it up on the tree at the hospital for families, staff and patients to enjoy. Our Giving Tree is not only a way of capturing the special memory of your birth but your donation will also be helping to make improvements and enhancements on the maternity unit so we can continue to go above and beyond for our mothers, partners and babies. Your donation could help us to fund • A new birthing pool for the Consultancy-Led Unit (CLU) in the maternity ward to ensure that more mothers have the choice of using a pool during labour • Comfy reclining chairs for partners to relax and rest in whilst in hospital with their partner • Beautiful murals, fairy lights and sound systems to create a tranquil birthing environment • Support books for parents who lose a baby • Rocking chairs for mothers to feed their babies comfortably • Special play areas for our family waiting rooms • Specialist training courses for staff so they can bring the latest knowledge to Lister. The difference your leaf will make - a message from Lesley Overy, Head of Midwifery "Thank you for helping us make a difference to local mothers, babies and partners. Your Giving Tree donation will help us go above and beyond for our mothers and babies by helping us fund projects such as a new birthing pool for the CLU, comfy reclining chairs for partners, support books for parents who have lost their baby and special play areas for our family waiting rooms. Your donation really will make a lasting impact at the maternity ward at Lister, thank you for your support." How to make a donation and get a personalised leaf on our Giving Tree 1.
