Niamh's story

Niamh, has shared her experience:

Our beautiful twin baby girls were born prematurely in August 2025, arriving at just 34 weeks and weighing only 4 lbs and 4 lbs 8 oz. Because of their early arrival, they required specialised care in the Lister NICU.

The love, dedication, and support that the girls received during this critical time was nothing short of extraordinary. As a family, we also felt deeply cared for and supported by the incredible staff.

This experience has inspired me to give back to the unit that made such a profound difference in our lives. Many families face similar vulnerable moments when their newborns need intensive care, and it is essential that this unit continues to provide exceptional care and comfort to all who come through its doors.
