The Butterfly Volunteers are special individuals and they need at least £45k per year to just survive as a charity. The Butterfly Volunteers won The Queen's Award For Voluntary Service this year because of their complete professionalism, their dedication and devotion to helping both those at the end of their lives and their families. I've seen them in action. No one dies alone, or unloved when The Butterflies are there. They helped us when Dad was dying from Dementia. It was a horrible time for us all, but they gave us lasting, positive memories to look back on when we are at our lowest. During the pandemic, when families couldn't be with their loved ones, the Butterflies stepped in and bridged that gap, holding hands and looking after loved ones.
