The Doctoral Research Fund provides financial support for staff that wish to study for a PhDor professional doctorate. The aim of the Fund is to build upon an already strong research-driven culture at the East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust and make a positive impact onpatient experience and outcomes. 2/Hospital Charity helps drive research at East and NorthHertfordshire NHS Trust Senior sepsis nurse Anne Hunt was one of the first to receive funding. She said: “I am honoured to have been chosen for the PhD programme and I am so grateful to theHospitals’ Charity for funding such a fantastic opportunity.
