A&E staff at the Lister Hospital are the beneficiaries of a £500 donation from a Hertfordshire firm that specialises in automatic identification systems.

Acrovision has donated a percentage of the profits from the sale of one of its devices to the East and North Hertfordshire Hospitals’ Charity.

Last week Paul Cunningham, director of the Markyate-based company, visited the Stevenage hospital to hand over a giant cheque.

Paul said: “Acrovision is delighted to share some of the proceeds from our sales to the Lister Hospital’s A&E department.

“We can only imagine the effort and pressures involved in working in such an environment, so we are more than happy to donate to such a great cause.”

Claire Adams, community fundraise for the hospitals’ charity, said: “We’re delighted to receive Acrovision’s generous donation, which will make a wonderful difference to our hard-working staff in A&E.”
