We are delighted that our inaugural Hertfordshire Residential Development Awards, sponsored by land agency, Walter Cooper, raised over £51,000. 

Damion Burrows, RIBA ARB, architect and television presenter, hosted the event with Rosie Galligan, Saracens and England rugby player, as guest speaker.

The awards included Best Development Site, Best Consultancy, Best Small Developer, Best Medium Developer and Best Large Developer and were voted for by the Herefordshire property industry.

Robert Voss Esq. CBE CStJ, Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire presented the Property Person of the Year award, which was voted for on the night, to Sammy Walton of Templeton Land.

Rosie’s teammate, and captain of England, Marlie Packer, presented the prize draw of a VIP hospitality experience to watch Saracens play Harlequins at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Molly Shepherd, Forget-Me-Not Dementia Volunteer Manager at Lister Hospital in Stevenage, delivered moving testimony on the impact the charity has made on supporting patients with dementia who come into the hospital.

Eloise Huddleston, charity director said: “It was a wonderful, glittering event that not only celebrated the best of the Hertfordshire property industry but also raised a fantastic amount to support our local NHS hospitals.

“The funds raised will help us support our wonderful NHS staff to ensure patients get exceptional care and have the best experience at all our hospitals.

“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped us make it such a special night: our sponsors, Walter Cooper, Templeton Land, Ashtons, Taylor Wimpey, Lovell, Fresh Lemon and Saracens Hospitality; Tornado Events; photographer, Elizabeth Woolmer and everyone who made pledges, donated and entered our prize draw, raffle and silent auction.”

The black-tie event was brought to a close by a dazzling firework display, sponsored by Taylor Wimpey.
