We are funding Artlife - an exciting project to enhance the hospital environment for patients, staff and visitors 

Funds are raised for the project through art sold in our new LIFE Gallery at Lister Hospital and through kind donations made by grateful patients, local businesses and groups.

Incorporating art into hospitals significantly improves patient care by reducing anxiety, stress, and perceived pain while shortening recovery times. Art acts as a positive distraction that creates a less clinical, more welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. It enhances overall well-being, supports mental health, and fosters a calming and comforting atmosphere.

The LIFE Gallery

Our gallery based at Lister Hospital features over 13 local artists with varying styles and techniques.

Our current exhibitors in our LIFE Gallery include: Becky Ullah, Leon Barnes, Trevor Nash, Anna Pennery, Sally Taylor, Toni Gates, Georgia Larkins, Sarah Fuell, Denise Langston, Hannah Langston, Sarah Penny, Charo Roxas-Saguil, Barbara Burgess.
