We want to create a special outside space - the Garden for Refection - in the maternity unit at Lister Hospital.

There will be:

• A private garden for bereaved parents - this will be a peaceful, reflective space where families can find solace and emotional support while going through a very upsetting time
• A quiet seating area for the maternity bereavement staff - this will provide a much-needed retreat where staff can recharge and find moments of peace during their demanding shifts
• A refurbished garden space for maternity patients - this will be a space managed by staff that will provide a quiet area for patients to enjoy some time outside

These three separate areas will provide a tranquil, outside space for those who need it.
